Opalite – The Synthetic Dream
Opalite, often mistaken for a natural stone, is actually a man-made glass resin material designed to mimic the appearance of opal and moonstone. It’s not found in nature but is produced through a process where glass is fused with metals like dolomite to create its characteristic milky, iridescent sheen. Etymology
“Opalite” is a marketing term, not a mineral, and doesn’t have traditional alternative names. However, it’s sometimes confused with: Sea Opal or Opal Moonstone due to its similar appearance to these natural stones.

In principle I keep the weight below 5 grams per earring, so it doesn’t stretch or hurt your ears even if you wear it the whole day. Occasionally, for some designs, that weight limit exceeds by a gram – every pair has their specific weight marked under the general description or “dimensions” tab.
