Why not take half an hour a day to set yourself comfortably in a chair or behind a table, and read some?
My offer for reading: Eysin ACE 301 - Not Quite the Gladiator. ACE 301 is the first of Silvi Simberg's futufolklore/fantastika trilogy.
Paperback edition, English. Last samples.
First chapters are available for reading @ eysin.ee
Eysin finds application to her talents on the isle of Osel in a security guild, where alien technology is used and researched for security (military) purposes. Like many other pupils of the gladiators, Eysin decides to participate in a team tournament.
"Writing the first two books of Eysin has been a fantastic way to learn about electricity and plasma - about which not much is known. Science, especially the kind that deals with the cosmos and electromagnetism, is largely based on speculation, so I do not see a problem using alternative theories of everything where they lack boring concepts like dark matter or the Big Bang. The first book, of course, includes a more substantial psychological and philosophical aspect than technological. While writing the first book, I was learning the RWRI materials (risk), behavioural science, and untangled experiences of interpersonal dynamics - these themes are also expressed in writing. I promise that when the first book was rather epistemological, the second will have a higher degree of technology (and the third should come with an aspect of religion - so all three bodies get covered?)."
