Care Guide
- Cleaning: To clean the rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver hooks and stainless steel components, gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth. For semi-precious stone beads, use a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh cleaning solutions or chemicals that may damage the rhodium plating or stones.
- Storage: Store your earrings in a cool, dry place, preferably in a fabric pouch or jewelry box to prevent tarnishing and scratching. Keep them away from extreme temperatures, humidity, and sunlight to protect the plating and stone quality.
- Rhodium Plating Care: Rhodium plating offers a protective layer that resists tarnishing but can wear over time. To preserve the shine, avoid exposure to moisture, perfumes, lotions, and harsh chemicals. Remove earrings before swimming, showering, or applying beauty products to extend the life of the rhodium plating. Clean the plated components gently with a soft cloth to maintain their appearance.
- Stainless Steel & Stone Bead Care:
- Stainless Steel: Stainless steel is highly durable and resistant to tarnishing. However, prolonged exposure to moisture and chemicals can cause discoloration. Wipe with a soft cloth regularly to maintain its finish.
- Semi-Precious Stone Beads: Semi-precious stones are naturally resilient but sensitive to chemicals and extreme conditions. To keep them in the best condition, avoid direct contact with lotions, perfumes, and cosmetics. Clean them gently with a soft cloth and never soak them in water.
- General Durability: Handle your earrings with care to avoid impacts or scratches. Avoid wearing them during physical activities, such as exercise or sleeping, which could lead to wear and tear. This will ensure that both the rhodium plating and semi-precious stones maintain their beauty over time.
Size Guide
6 & 10mm beads, in some cases the size of the stone beads may vary +-1mm. Hook lengths range between 1cm basic hooks, 1.5+cm English Locks, 2cm silver hooks – refer to the product photos. In newer designs, the stainless steel spacer daisies, bead caps and small beads contribute 3-4mm extra length (refer to product photo) In principle I keep the weight below 5 grams per earring, so it doesn’t stretch or hurt your ears even if you wear it the whole day. Occasionally, for some designs, that weight limit exceeds by a gram – every pair has their specific weight marked under the overview tab. Note that some earring hooks have thicker wires, and if you are not used to wearing earrings daily, using them will feel uncomfortable in the beginning.
