Care Guide
- Cleaning: To clean the rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver hooks and stainless steel components, gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth. For semi-precious stone beads, use a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh cleaning solutions or chemicals that may damage the rhodium plating or stones.

On Earrings’ Weight Principles
In principle I keep the weight below 5 grams per earring, so it doesn’t stretch or hurt your ears even if you wear it the whole day. Occasionally, for some designs, that weight limit exceeds by a gram – every pair has their specific weight marked under the general description or “dimensions” tab.
Prehnite
Prehnite – The Stone of Prophecy and Serenity
Prehnite is a calcium aluminum silicate mineral, cherished for its translucent to transparent qualities and serene color palette, typically ranging from pale green to yellow-green. Its vitreous to pearly luster adds to its gentle allure. This gemstone forms in the cavities of volcanic rocks and is often associated with minerals like datolite, calcite, and epidote. Notably, prehnite is not a zeolite but frequently occurs alongside them. Significant deposits have been found in Australia, South Africa, China, and the United States. Once extracted, prehnite is typically cut into cabochons or beads, highlighting its soft, glowing appearance.
The Golden Variety of Prehnite
While prehnite is commonly found in green shades, there exists a rarer golden variety. Golden prehnite exhibits hues ranging from soft yellow to warm golden tones, attributed to specific mineral inclusions during its formation. This variant is particularly prized for its unique color and is often used in jewelry to create pieces that exude warmth and elegance. Deposits of golden prehnite have been notably found in Australia, adding to its desirability among collectors and gem enthusiasts.
Etymology
Named after Colonel Hendrik Von Prehn, who discovered it in South Africa in the 18th century, prehnite holds the distinction of being the first mineral named after a person. In the gem world, it is sometimes referred to as “grape jade” due to its typical green color and botryoidal (grape-like) formations.
