Materials
Stone: Aventurine | 8mm Round Beads

Zodiac Stone of CancerLibra & Taurus

Aventurine – The Stone of Opportunity

Aventurine, with varieties in green, blue, red, yellow, and orange, is a form of quartz characterized by its shimmering or glistening effect, known as aventurescence. Green aventurine is the most common, sourced from India, Brazil, and Russia. Blue, red, yellow, and orange aventurines are less common but share similar properties.

Etymology

The name “aventurine” stems from the Italian “a ventura,” meaning “by chance,” alluding to the accidental discovery of this stone’s sparkling variant.

Cosmic Junction

Aventurine resonates with Mercury, symbolizing luck, opportunity, and creativity. Here’s how different varieties connect:

Green Aventurine: Linked to the heart chakra, it’s known for promoting emotional healing, abundance, and good fortune. In Feng Shui, it’s used to enhance wealth corners. Cultural Use: In ancient Tibet, green aventurine was used by shamans for healing and to calm the heart.

Blue Aventurine: Connected to the throat chakra, it’s believed to aid in clear communication and self-expression. Cultural Use: While less documented, blue aventurine shares the general properties of aventurine, with its color symbolizing calm and serenity.

Red, Yellow, Orange Aventurine: These are associated with the sacral chakra, promoting creativity, vitality, and emotional balance. Cultural Use: Though less common, these colors are used for their vibrant energy, often in modern crystal healing to stimulate joy and creativity.

Fittings & Findings: Stainless Steel | Steel Finish

Stainless Steel | Steel Finish

Material Composition: My earrings feature jewelry-grade fish/french hooks made from high-grade stainless steel, typically types 304 or 316L. These types are known for their high corrosion resistance and hypoallergenic properties.

Manufacturing Process:

Why They Don’t Oxidize

Thanks to the high chromium content, a protective chromium oxide layer forms on the surface, preventing rust. Molybdenum in 316L stainless steel provides extra protection against corrosion.

Magnetic Properties

Your stainless steel earrings may be slightly magnetic due to the manufacturing process, which can alter the steel’s crystal structure. This does not affect their quality or safety.

Hypoallergenic Assurance

The nickel in stainless steel is encapsulated by the chromium oxide layer, preventing it from coming into contact with your skin and reducing the risk of allergies.

Size Guide | Dimensions

Each earring weighs 1g (0.035oz) and measures 8mm (0.315in).

Care Guide
  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the Green Aventurine round beads and stainless steel posts with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the surface of the beads.
  • Bead Care: The Aventurine beads are glued to the posts, so handle the earrings carefully to prevent loosening the bond between the bead and the metal.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the earrings in a soft pouch or jewelry box to protect them from scratches or accidental impacts.
  • If the Bead Detaches: If the bead comes off, use a strong adhesive, such as E6000 or epoxy, to reattach it. Clean both surfaces before applying adhesive and let it cure fully.
  • Repairs: If needed, seek professional help from a jeweler.
